What Would you do To Save a Loved One From a Fire?

Would you just sit from a distance and tell yourself, “Nothing I can do”. Of course not! If one or both of my daughters (God forbid) were caught in a fire I would not stop until they were safe, even if I had to lay my life to save them.

That is how much I love them. I would be persistent in getting them to a safe place. I would give my last breath to save them.

Persistency is the real secret sauce. God gave me this word to write this week. Sometimes He gives me a whole story but this week he gave me just one word. And I struggled on finding a meaning to write about until I was driving back home. I was in New Mexico for a shoot. After a few days of long hours (always is), I was driving back home with 10 hrs of driving ahead of me. I was tired and the highway looked like an infinite stretch of asphalt and concrete.

Then it hit me. If I don’t persist I will never make it back home.

Now think about this, what if you did not know where home is and you were tired. I would easily have stopped somewhere and maybe even lost my way home. But because I was persistent, I made it back home. Now granted, I knew my way home and I knew the prize I had back home. Loving family, my dog, good bed, etc. So, because I knew what was waiting for me, I pressed on. I was persistent on driving even when super tired. And this is EXACTLY why people fail, they lose sight of their reward. What is near and easy becomes more attractive instead of a bigger win later down the road.

What are you being persistent in your life? How about your marriage? Your business? Your Goals?

Mr. Ziglar used to say: “The secret for success is to be Persistently Consistent”

I’ve filmed countless business Gurus and pretty much all of them sum it up that success is the compounding effort of “little wins”. That is, no one is an overnight success. They worked decades to get there. Nothing in life is easy, not even creating a Tik Tok video. Takes effort, time and skill. Well, at least a good one.

And why do you think God made things complicated?

God is not in the Entertainment Business, God is in the Educational business.

The more you embrace the “complicated”, the more you enjoy “failure” the more successful you will become.

Don’t lose sight of your ultimate reward, heaven. Don’t be fooled by doubt.  Be persistent even when you are tired, discouraged and doubtful. Press on. The devil will do everything in his power to detour you from your destinatination, but if you persist he flees from you.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Now here is the real question: What would you do to save a loved one from the fires of Hell?
